Hey Blockbuster,

Yeeeeh! -Awesome! I was hoping to see some spaceship action. :trampolin:
I've always wished I had some cool ships to do anims with, but I've never had the patience to make one myself,
so I'll be cheering for you on the sidelines.
Also, I think it'll be interesting to watch your approach to modelling in Realsoft, since you're new to the program,
and you may bring some Cinema4d techniques to the table.. so keep posting

By the way, I love your shark animation. Nice idea and good execution.

Looking very good so far, except that the edges of the front part look a bit too round to me:

thanks Timo,
yes your are right, I am to reprocess the modeling and now i use the nurbs tools, it is better to make details.
I work now with the R3DS Demo V5. I missing the nice knife tool from the R3DS V4.2, (with freehand).
Is the Knife tool not providing in R3DS V5 ?

here my status of new modeling....

Hi Blockbuster!
Please note there are two knife tools. One is the 'Object knife' tool (this one has no freehand option) and the 'regular' Edge knife tool.
The Object knife tool requires two objects (a knife object, like a curve and a target object, like a SDS cube). The object knife tool is located in the SDS tool tab, next to the Sphere and Subdivide icons. The icon for this knife tool is labeled 'O.Knife'.

The other knife tool adds/splits edges to/on objects. This is the one with the freehand option and can directly be applied to a SDS object. Unless you use a very high screen resolution, you can't see the tool icon right away. The SDS specific toolbar (containing the icons for subdivide, bevel and so on) can be dragged to the left. Click and hold on a 'greyed' icon and drag the toolbar to the left. See the attached screenshot, that shows the Edge knife tool.

Hope this helps you a bit :)
Robert

I meant that in 4.5, with screen resolution 1280x1024, I didn't have to drag some toolbars for finding some icons....
That "feature" appeared in V5 (because of new icons width and new icons at SDS toolbar). My previous sentence was a bit ironic... ;)
